Continents
Cat plays Felines (Otto), Beam plays Dutch
Monarchy, roaming barbs.
Map by Killer.

Met Russia and Maya, traded Alpha for Steinmetzkunst and Lanzenkampfer, 3rd settler about to complete. Where the fuck is the next city going to be? Both Russian and Maya borders are visible. Cramped place. Really requires c-t-t-c. But where is a nice spot? It either is fucking dry or plagued. There also are 2 luxes that can be accessed.

I'm really thinking about settling S of the Banana, 2 BGs, close to silks and settling towards Russia.

hm, this is not what I had intended the game to be like: when testplaying the AIs settled a lot slower. weird.

Being agri helps a lot here. Oasis in desert when irrigated gives 3 food, the rest of the desert 2.
The silkspot looks okay!

btw, watch out: remember some luxes may give different boni than you are used to! (for the sake of balancing the map)

The home continent is basically fully explored. It isn't very big and Williams people are curious what is outside it. But William wants to conquer the continent. Which he thinks is possible in the Ancient Age or very early Medieval Age. "But we won't be able to trade with other Civilizations if you conquer the continent!" the merchants say. "What do you want to trade with them?" William replies annoyed. "They got no techs, no money, no balls, no shit, no nothing." The merchants fall in silence. "They probably got no real military either so soon after the conquests we are able to disband most of the military and go boosting the economy." The merchants start humming and an occasional cheer is heard. "We will also reform to a government where you will have much more influence in state affairs!" The merchants clap their hands. "And last but not least we will swiftly move to new technlogies enabling us to explore the seas and the oceans and meet new civilizations you can trade with." The merchants go crazy and are cheering out loud now: "William, William, William." William knows from experience that those technologies also will spin-off inventions that will help to build the military he needs for his real plans: Conquering the world [evil]. But since that would leave no Civ to trade with he remains silent about it cause it could upset the now happy merchants.
