Ehm. What to say? Is this a practise thread to better you mod skills?

By the way: when do you have time for our PBEM? I'm available tonight.

Shabbaman

Why do you have an open topic thread?

ERIKK
14-04-2003, 12:21
I think the open thread is for spamming only ;)

jack merchant
14-04-2003, 22:31
Yup, that's right !

Gotta love that spam, and my moderating skills need some honing [lol]

ProPain

Mmmm, better watch out or I'll practice my mod skills and move this thread to OT, our official spam forum[:p] :D

I'm wondering what those dark colored spots on it are.....

Does anyone know?

decoration....to make it more inviting to the pallette.

I think my mum fed me this when i was a kid...i remember those tins, they had a screw off opening.[:o] Oh my god i think i've been abused as a child

To savour it as its best, dip in batter and deep fry = Spam Fritters

I also use the stuff as fish bait - at least the much cheaper than Spam, luncheon meat. Have been known to eat it too.

This was brought to you as a public service from the Spam education board.

So is spam even real meat? or is it a bi-product of sorts? It still looks gross either way [:P]

Sisyphe ?

Is that your new avatar Jack ? [lol]
Very fitting I would say [lol]

Looks like Atlas to me

ProPain
19-08-2003, 12:58
I'd say it's Atlas carrying the world too. Sisyphus was rolling that stone instead of carrying it iirc.

Skyfish
19-08-2003, 13:03
True, he was rolling it, still think it fits Jack better than Atlas :D

jack merchant
19-08-2003, 13:17
It's Atlas :). Sisyphus merely rolled a boulder up a mountain, Atlas was carrying the whole world.

It's not my new avatar (I like my roses) but eitehr the bigger or smaller version will remain my forum icon as long as anarres allows :).

ERIKK
19-08-2003, 20:22
[lol] Jack is carrying the world on his shoulders..., or just the ladder? ;)

Moderator action: gross smilie removed. I will not be mooned in my own forum !

Grille
28-09-2003, 14:17
Due to popular request (I think so), how about replacing Atlas
with the 'Cheese Guy'... :D[:p]

No fucking way !

Skyfish

He does indeed look like Jack with a mustache on :D

ERIKK

Wow! Grille has exposed Jack 'AoA' Merchant!!!! [eek]

Grille
28-09-2003, 19:44
hehe, may I should be more discrete...
:D...by posting this link to ahilarious CFC thread. (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?postid=1259279#post1259279)

Maybe the moderator, who is well known to have quite a good understanding of good humour, refrains from his AoA style now(?)...

jack merchant
28-09-2003, 19:50
Sure :D.

Anyway, there are several things wrong with that picture:
1) My hair is brown, not black
2) I don't have a moustache
3) I don't wear hats
4) I don't dress funny
5) I don't like cheese :)

Besides, don't we all dream of wielding ultimate power every now and then ? [cool]

Jack, regarding your new pic: so you want to prevent us to sap and impurify all of your precious bodily fluids?

Shabbaman
29-09-2003, 13:12
I think it'd be a great avatar.

No it wouldn't.

Grille
29-09-2003, 15:33
Consequent moderating style here, I must admit.

Btw, what's wrong with cheese? [hmm]
...
General Jack D. Ripper: "Mandrake, do you realize that in addition to fluoridating water, why, there are studies underway to fluoridate salt, flour, fruit juices, soup, sugar, milk... cheese. Cheese, Mandrake, children's cheese."
Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: "Lord, Jack..."
[mouth]

:D

jack merchant
29-09-2003, 17:36
Quite simple - you are all welcome to spam up the CFC thread with all the most hideous pictures you can find to represent me - I left the link for a reason. But ladies and gentlemen, I won't have it here.

So anyone posting that shit in this thread will be modded [hammer]. I have to live up to my new image, don't I ? :D

Aggie
29-09-2003, 17:40
Well, you're doing a bad job. General Jack D. Ripper would put it in other words! ;)

PS. I'm watching the movie atm. Thanks Jack :D

ERIKK
29-09-2003, 20:45
Well, we have a real live genuine pic of Jack! He himself gave us a vague shady pic of him 10 years ago (without the moustache) but we secretly took a pic of him! (As you can see nobody is posing!) Unfortunally he looked right through us and came in disguise that day (the CDZ meeting)... [:o]

I should add that with the exception of Grille, none of you sissies volunteered to have your own true selves exposed in the infamous CFC thread. Which makes the sniping rather weak, really [:p].

Aggie
29-09-2003, 22:14
I don't post in off-topic CFC ;)

Skyfish
30-09-2003, 07:11
I tried but that thread is closed :(
And *I* (contrary to the previous poster) have NEVER posted in the OT of CFC !

Aggie
30-09-2003, 07:19
[rolleyes]15 posts out of 2100 went into OT CFC, true. Did you use the CFC post search option to verify? [ponder]

Grille
30-09-2003, 10:48
Wow. You "argue" about the lowest number of OT posts (while this "quarrel" is very possibly based on mis-understandings, so it is actually in best OT-fashion, btw).

Sounds like it's a sacrilege to post in OT.
Do I get extra horsewhips in hell for every OT post? [fdevil]

Besides that, I can of course understand why someone would not want to post there (anymore) respectively why someone who has never posted there yet would want to just post a funny pic in a specific thread. ;):)

Aggie
30-09-2003, 11:41
I don't post in OT because:

- I am posting at CFC for CIV
- I don't like to have serious discussions interupted by "less intelligent people of a certain nation with strong opinions that basically are founded on a believe that their nation is always right and other beliefs are that of the enemy"
- I don't like "how are you, I am fine" threads

So I basically ignore it and can't deny a certain elitism when I said that I never post there [blush]

Sorry (aggie)-->[cry][whipped]<--(grille)

Grille
30-09-2003, 16:15
[blush2]
Ähem, Aggie, no need to say sorry or 'explain'...
I thought this was clear anyways with the last statement I made above...:)

I guess I should better stop spamming this thread with drivel...
