Stoopid idea: medals

Okay, bear with me. This idea is pretty stupid, I admit. But somehow it has an appealing aspect as well. It's pretty simple: for some achievements, like, winning the KoD, leading the pbem ladder, or the CDZ cup, you get a medal. If you're the current holder, it's displayed below your avatar. Previous medals should be displayed in the profile screen.

Now, I'm sure this has some drawbacks (like, it encourages elitism, cheating, hard to implement, maintain, whatever), but I still think it's pretty cool. What do you think?

I think it's a good idea. I even made a winner of the KoD avatar a few months ago, the thread is still there prolly.

I really want to update that ladder but unfortunately I'm swamped in work lately. If someone with programming skills (asp) could help out that would speed up matters [hint]

BTW: I also think is cool even if elitism and cheating suck.
