I convinced a friend to play Hattrick. Meet Crvena Zvezda Strijp (507600)or in English Red Star Strijp.

He got quite a good squad. Note Lucius, Khoury and Maris all trainable and especially the last 2 have quite good TSI.

I advised him to fire Nolten, Huberts, Firet and Knaap (old coach, first thing he did was buy a new offensive coach) but I'm not sure what to train.

PM: Iniguez(old but solid) & Lucius & Maris, maybe Huizinga

I think the squad is most fit for PM but I havent really looked in to cost/benefit values for different trainings. I can imagine that Pm is a relatively low benefit training as lots of people train it, what would imply relatively expensive trainees buying and cheap selling. WOuld like your advise.

What do you mean with 'trainable'. Just that they are young?

And how do you buy a new coach? I tried to do so yesterday, but I could only find players on the transfer market.

By trainable I indeed mean they're young enough and have (half) decent skill level.

You can change trainer in the 'training' meny. Down right there's the option 'Change coach'

I’d go for Scoring, in this case. For Scoring he can train Jurjus (one level), Huizinga (1-2 levels), Iniguez (1 level), Oosterhuis (1 level), Lucius (1 level - backup) and Khoury (1 level).

Maris and Rosenmoller are good players as well and he could keep them and then train stamina between seasons.

He could use the starting money for a good coach (solid with poor leadership would be best but passable with poor leadership would do too). He could also buy another 20-22 solid scorer to train until excellent and keep Lucius as back-up when a trainee is injured.

Scoring training was a little more profitable than other trainings but recently the number of trainers increased and prices of trained players have decreased (about 10% at outstanding/brilliant level).

Playmanking needs to be trained for a very long time and prices are low until high levels. It also needs stamina training pretty often. The advantage is that the team gets better as you train playmakers while by training scoring you will get higher scores with weak teams but still be beaten by teams with better midfield.
