With Nemo being back where he belongs a new quest awaits!

Resurect William of Orange!

This will not be an easy task...

Epilogue

Johan Cruijff, Jaap de Hoop and Kingreno have made a complicated plot to resurect William of Orange to replace the poor leadership in The Binnenhof (parliament) today. The plot will ask acts of Bravery above and beyond the call of duty, by everyone involved.
The proud People of Holland (most of them) find themselves on the northern part of the world, a nice startinglocation on a river and on the lovely sea. The Capitol of Amsterdam is founded. Kingreno on his camel (horse) is defending the city in the beginning years, he will soon need help.[hmm]
Johan Cruijff and Jaap de Hoop are far away. They have travelled many many miles to a far away island, very rich in resources but undoubtly unproductive. The brave new world will have to be whipped into existence! There are enemies here as well. It will be the goal here to keep the vital resources in Dutch hands.[cool]
Then there are the Germans. The germans want no such thing as a resurection! Germany has released a new bread of Nuclear Fish in the seas that will prevent vessels from transporting units!! Only the fabled resources Uranium could prevent this. We estimate Uraniumtechnolgy will be discovered in some 5000 years, so that is no option. The only boat anyone is able to build is the tiny curragh, which the fish will leave alone. Furthermore, the Germans have the sole source of Sails (dyes) near their Capitol Berlin. Just in case the fish die.
Now, Jaap and Johan are cut off from any support, and above all, hope. But Jaap has always hope, so there is a plan. If the city of Amsterdam manages to build the great lighthouse, using strong Dutch horses and German Sails (which will need to be taken), the fish will have no choice but to abandon their evil quest. The Lighthouse will provide ships for the Dutch automaticly, and allow for trade with the Cruijff-Hoop colony.
With these ships, the Dutch will need to find the resources needed for the Mausoleum of Wooden shoes! In this building they will Resurect William. The resources needed are Iron (that should be easy[mischief]) and the ashes of William (uh-oh). The ashes of william, the legend claims, were scattered in an Oasis somewhere. The Dutch will need to bring water from the oasis to Amsterdam. Once the Mausoleum is Built...Victory!

In short

- Building the Lighthouse is the ONLY way to trade over seasquares.
- There is only one source of dyes on the map, it is near Berlin...
- Since no-one can build Galleys or Caravels (or Galleons or transports) till fission, you will need no fear of Invasions. Likewise you cannot invade. The only danger comes from the Land.
- You can check the civilopedia for info on requirements for wonders.
- The Statue of Zeus is not available.
- Check the wines near Amsterdam, they are on Bonusgrass.
- Fastest William-resurection wins the game!

aargh, I quit this:

Ai reg Sword attacks fortified vet Spear on mountin. Defending arcehr misfires, Sword goes to 1 HP and kills Spear.
repeat
reg Sword attacks the fortified archer and kills it
reg Horse attacks the frotified archer and kills it

combat calc probabilities:
17,9%
17,9%
48,6%
29%

same turn:

3 archers and one warrior die for Germany, but my 4 fortified vet Spears (all promoted, too) in the walled town also die to the other 4 archers in the stack.

probability for vet archer vs fortifed vet spear in walled town: 20,1%

next turn, I attck the 2HP Horse with 3 archers. Now, it is elite @ 4 HP.......

aargh!
