I'll join another game...

I'd like to try any eastern country (so: 1-russia, 2-turkey, 3-austria, 4-Italy)

ERIKK

We still need three dedicated players for this game!

Please sign up! :)

ps: if more players prefer Germany, Turkey or Russia I will let a neutral person draw straws!

Maybe we should start game 3 after either game 1 or 2 is ended?

Socrates

If ERIKK doesn't mind, we should restart game #3's recruiting once game #1 or #2 is close to an end. Maybe we should wait for both games to end and start only one game (since some players are currently playing in both, and some other players got tired of the game). We'll see. We still haven't made up our mind on when to end the games (in any case, I'd like both games to end in the same way (I mean : same rules), so please discuss that in the rules topic).

Of course I'm in a new game after mine is finished. [cool]

And after games 1&2 are finished, we can also select reliable players ;) .

Game #1 is slowing coming to a close, game #2 will be won by col in 2 or 3 turns because of ERIKK's blindness.

When shall we start #3?

Socrates

I think ERIKK will agree with me : there is no need to prepare game #3 before one of the first ones is over. Because we will have to wait for the other one to end as well. Of course we could start game #3 before the end of the 2nd game, but in any case, we still have some time. Game #1 isn't over by the way. ;)

Well, I will be on a holiday for 6 weeks starting 2nd week of september. If you manage to get a
game running without me before the end of october, then I can't play in that one.

For game two I will need a replacement player (I hope Stapel or Beam want&can do it), who will
have to play the endgame of my glorious Italian Empire!

CHECK!

About game 3:

Games 1 & 2 indeed come to an end. It might still take afew weeks though. But we shouls also realise that some players are toasted already, and want to start now. Not too much of a problem!

About PM-ing for missing moves:

What about a 2 time limit for friday 20:00 gmt? Being a bit late with retreats and buils, imo, is more acceptable. But miisng the friday deadline is usually 'lack of dedication'.

Good luck!

ps: one of you guys needs to take charge and organize this game... ;)

I'd like to take part in this game, and be the game master, but I would also like to play against ERIKK. [blush2] So I don't know what to do. I now have no problem with being in a 2nd game, since there is not much diplomacy involved in the 1st one anymore. ;) I'd have no problem waiting for ERIKK to come back in any case.

I think we should have a gamesmaster who isn't a player, if we can find one. :)

Socrates

What was the problem with me ? [blush2] I could still join another game with ERIKK when he comes back. I can of course be game master and/or order receiver for Game #3.

No, and you really need to be less paranoid if you glean that from what I said. ;)

In the interests of impartialism it makes sense to have a GM that isn't a player. For example, almost *every* turn sent in the GM has to make a decision on how long to wait for players to send in orders. How can a decision this objective be made by someone who has a vested interest, without causing potential problems?

Stapel

We only need a neutral 'moves collector & publisher'. the game master can be one of the players.

Will we delay this game until Erik is back?

Yes, now I think the best is to wait for ERIKK, as he really deserves to take part in this game. He will hopefully be there within 2-3 weeks at most, which should be enough for a break from Diplo. [cool]

About the question of the gamemaster, I have to say that I never sent my orders with delay. And we can always agree on more restrictive rules about the schedule, up to you people ! With more dedicated players, we could come to a point where delays will be few.

Is this still alive? If it is, I could join. I must add though, that I did not play this game for maybe 8 or 10 years and maybe won't be as strong as some of you, but still better than letting a country out - I hope ;)

We are waiting for Erikk to return.

grs,

In the first two games several of us were noobs, so no worries there!
