Version Question. Help needed!

Hi,

I play a PBEM vs. Schip and we started it off in C3C version 1.15, now, we went to 1.22 and the saves do not load anymore. I thought it should always be compatible. Is there some (haunted) way to get the save to work again on 1.22?
We would very much apreciate any help. [goodjob]

I added the last save here which would not load on my 1.22 version C3C.

It didn't work for me and Matrix either. The only solution is a dual install. Read more on dual installs here (http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1754).

according to the firaxis readme file 1.22 is compatible with 1.20 files. So convert to 1.20 then to 1.22

I've tried doing that and then 1.22 what open the 1.20 save either. I find it confusing that some people seem to be able to convert from 1.15b to 1.22 with no problems but others can't. Is this some kind of location problem?

Also I've noticed that if you just re run the patch then it will uninstall itself and then you just have to run the patch that you want again so its not that much of a hassle to go between the two but it would still be alot easier...

It seems that the saves have to be saved as scenarios for the upgrade to work...
