The opening moves have revealed an Austrian / Turkish alliance and both have made aggressive moves towards me. The saving factor is that Italy has stabbed Austria in the rear.

A long conversation with Austria has turned them. I managed to convince them (I hope) that Turkey will gain much more than they will from their present course; that Italy will hit them from behind while they are at war with me and that they are in as much danger as I am. We have coordinated our moves so that I get Rum , am able to defend Sev and should be able to build a fleet in Sev while assuring Austria's defence too. Good diplo, col!
