quote:7000 spectators arrived at Aleseley United Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Aleseley tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: MacKnight - MacOmish, Brayley, MacNamell, Coshutt - Butt, Greco, Cain, Longhurst - Burgass, Purkiss.

Toffees tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: MacFadyen - Russell, Williams, Irons - Attah-Agyeman, Homer, Haynes, Walker, Penn - Hollenstein, Aertse.

Toffees seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. Toffees took the lead in the games 26:th minute with 0 - 1 after some elegant plays down the middle. David Russell was the scorer. In a rapid move, Pierre-André Hollenstein of Toffees lost his man, passed the ball to the unmarked Puck Aertse who easily hit it home for the 0-2 goal. Barnett Walker increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 3. The structure of the game started to change as Toffees decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. The visitors Brandon Irons took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and central backs in the 35:th minute. 0 - 4 for Toffees. 38 minutes into the game Aleseley broke through on the left wing and Bernard Burgass managed to reduce the lead to 1 - 4. Some fine manouvering on the left lead to an 41st minute Toffees goal, making it 1 - 5. Puck Aertse was noted down as the scorer. In the 41st minute Toffeess Pierre-André Hollenstein received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 1 - 5 was the half-time score. Toffees held the ball, with a clear 66 percent possession rate.

After 52 minutes of game time Pierre-André Hollenstein received an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but Rory MacKnight was in the right place, tipping the ball to a corner. Puck Aertse increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 1 - 6. By then Puck Aertse was a three time scorer - a hat trick! Aleseleys Jeffrey MacNamell got himself booked after a foul. Colin Cain had a good opportunity to reduce in the 66:th minute but wasn´t cool enough. The ball went miles over the bar. Toffees´s David Russell received a play slashing through the home side´s defense in the 79:th minute, chipping it past the keeper scoring 1 - 7. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. Toffees held the ball, with a clear 70 percent possession rate.

Aleseley´s best player was Jeffrey MacNamell. Neil Coshutt was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Toffees player was without a doubt Kirk Haynes. Jason MacFadyen on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 7.

The crowd of 3869 turning up at Orlando Nighthawks Arena today were greeted by some nasty showers of rain. Nighthawks had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Buford - Lumpkin, Crosby, Whitlock, Kilgore - Goldman, Blue, Aguilera, Woodson - Payne, Bergmann.

Yellow had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Kalkun - Harley, Haas, Hawkins - Brunner, Borgstedt, Alden, Leu, Cody - Tomlin, Burney.

Yellow saw most attack opportunites on the wings and were directing their passes that way. Yellow´s Omar Cody could have put the guests one up in the 5:th minute, chasing a through ball but Israel Buford was fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Nighthawks´s Brian Crosby got himself booked. The game was characterized by rough play and many physical challenges. Jarrett Goldman showed great heart and had a good game. This was a good period for the visitors with several opportunities to take the lead, in particular when Theodore Burney slipped through the defense to come up alone with Israel Buford - but the home side´s keeper showed some lightning reflex In the 36:th minute the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending and Johnny Hawkins put the ball away for 0 - 1. Theodore Burney increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 2. Yellows Jonas Borgstedt got himself booked after a foul. Due to a severely mistimed tackle,Brian Crosby spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. The teams went for a half-time break at 0 - 2. Yellow held the ball, with a clear 67 percent possession rate.

Rolf Leu increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 3. By now Yellow were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. The referee signalled a penalty in the 67:th minute following an offence just inside of the box. Omar Cody knocked home 0 - 4 just out of reach for the goaltender. Mike Lumpkin behaved like an inexperienced youth player in the 68:th minute as he gave the ball away to an opponent. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. In the 72nd minute the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 5 as Billie Tomlin finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. In the 76:th minute Yellows Rolf Leu received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Yellow, with an impressive 79 percent possession of the ball.

The most dominating Nighthawks player was without a doubt Abraham Woodson. Chad Aguilera on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Yellow player was without a doubt Toomas Kalkun. Luther Harley on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 5. I'm currently undefeated in the league, with a GD of 31-1. However, tomorrow I face my main competitors for promotion, who also have 15 league points and who throttled me 6-1 at my arena last season.

quote:A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 15300 to Meli's Manglers Arena. Manglers started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Cabezas - Spreadbury, Verspoor, Bryan - Hautala, Hornabrook, Alistair, Davis, Quigley-Parks - Greenwood, Carroll.

muncitorii had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Lineup: Laville - Keane, Sherlock, Ogden, Barnett - Arkless, Saunders, Patching, Parker - Zahren, Kaur.

It was an obvious ambition of Manglers to attack on the flanks. It was obvious that muncitorii were using pressing as their primary tactic. muncitorii were able to press their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. Manglers´s Mark Verspoor left the field after 32 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was Aatmaj Venkataraman. Sean Arkless was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the enemy box - Jordan Kaur managed to kick one of them into 0 - 1 in the 36:th minute. After 37 minutes of play Richard Alistair equalised for Manglers after an elegant attack from the right. muncitoriis Patrick Sherlock got himself booked after a foul. Halftime score was 1 - 1. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Manglers, with an impressive 64 percent possession of the ball.

muncitorii had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially in the 50:th minute when Eddie Zahren came up alone against Sandy Cabezas who managed a block. Manglers took the lead in the 56:th minute of the game by 2 to 1, as Adam Davis elegantly received a pass going deep, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. A speedy charge from the left side of the field put Manglers lead up with 3 - 1. Roddy Carroll finished that one off competently, firing from an acute angle. Manglerss Mark Bryan got himself booked after a foul. muncitoriis Jordan Kaur got himself booked after a foul. The Manglers player was Aatmaj Venkataraman who had to be helped off the pitch, unable to finish the game, but Aitken Elliot came in to finish the match. A bit later, a magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Manglers´s Richard Alistair putting the lead up to 4 - 1. Manglers held the ball, with a clear 73 percent possession rate.

The most dominating Manglers player was without a doubt Alan Hornabrook. Aitken Elliot was a disappointment, however. The most dominating muncitorii player was without a doubt Timothy Laville. Andy Parker was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 1.

So I am top again (on GD) in my division.

Not quite as good as it sounds, 1st of 4 teams all on 12 points.

Its gonna be a close season.
