WHAT YOU NEED TO REMEMBER

This should be the general ruleset for every game here (otherwise indicated).

We use the complete version of the latest rules (2000), as stated in this document : http://www.avalonhill.com/rules/diplomacy.pdf
alternate link : http://www.hasbro.com/common/instruct/Diplomacy.PDF
another one : http://www.diplomacy-archive.com/resources/rulebooks/2000AH4th.pdf

Realpolitik or other programs are fine for common moves, but they aren't our absolute reference, since some tiny differences do exist with the complete version of the latest rules. In particular, the "paradox situation" leads to no move for either party at CDZ.

Orders are to be written with the RealPolitik's text file option. Results are to be displayed using this option as well.

Orders are to be sent by PM at CDZ to the order receiver, who doesn't play in the current game. The order receiver has to gather the orders once all the PMs are sent, and copy-paste them in the current game's thread, without altering anything.

If some players are missing after the deadline, the order receiver has to post their names in the current game's thread, so that they send their orders sets as soon as possible. This is due to the nature of the game, in order to avoid "no move received" situations.

Then the game master has to quickly proceed the results and post them in the current game's results thread, along with a map of the current situation. Any contestation about the orders or the results is to be posted in the current game's thread.

You can send as many orders sets as you want. The last orders set sent before the deadline is used and processed.

Time is the GMT one : it applies for the whole year (so it effectly changes twice a year, due to light saving time). So :
- during winter in the Northern hemisphere, 20:00 GMT means 20:00 in England, and 21:00 in the Netherlands ;
- during summer in the Northern hemisphere, 20:00 GMT means 21:00 in England, and 22:00 in the Netherlands.

Weekly standard schedule :
- Monday, after results are posted : turn starts ;
- Friday, 20:00 : deadline for movement orders ;
- Friday, after 20:00 : results are posted on CDZ ;
- Saturday, 20:00 : deadline for retreat orders ;
- Saturday, after 20:00 : retreats are posted on CDZ ;
- Monday, 20:00 : deadline for adjustment orders (falls) ;
- Monday, after 20:00 : adjustments are posted on CDZ (falls), turn ends, next turn starts...
