Dilemma:

I have just started my team and I got a bit lucky (I think) on my starting squad. I invested 250.000 in new players and I feel that I have a chance to do quite well in the 7th division I am in. So far, so good. Since I also had 3 good forwards and 1 decent reserve I decided that one of them was good to sell to get some money back. Now, Niels Poldervaart (value 191.000, which is a bit overrated IMO Solid:Scoring/Stamina passable:Playmaking Rest:weak/disatrous and 20 years of age) brought me a whopping 277.000 Euro's!
So, after buying 7 players and selling one, I am more or less par again.
So, now the dilemma...what should I do? I am not gonna sit on the money so should I: a) buy a new player (or more) b) Invest in the stadium (now 7000 as it started) or c) sit on it for now and wait till I am actually doing some good in teh league?[hmm]
Any comment would be very much apreciated!

I;m no expert but I'd say:
- buy a better coach if you already havent.
- take on some ' woordvoerders' as Schip had quite some succes with only 3 of them. Within ten days they found him a new sponsor worth euro 5000 a week. I'd say that's an investment that pays itself very quickly.

I'm not quite sure about the stadium. I expanded mine, but disappointing results meant I never had over 5000 spectators. I'd say you can hold of expanding the stadium untill you draw a large enough crowd consistently and if the balance of home/away matches tips towards home that's favourable too of course.

But then again, I'm as much a noob as you are concerning hattrick, so if the real experts have an opinion on this I'd take them more serious.

Invest in the stadium! This'll bring you the revenue with which you can either invest in your youth or buy more players. Those specialists (assistant coaches, spokesmen and so on) need to get paid as well. I waited too long before I expanded, still struggle to keep up (a bit).
Also, buying "good" players instead of training them is a bit of a waste. In time, you can train them yourself.

So, instead of getting a better coach, imo you should invest in your stadium and get a bunch of assistant coaches and fysiothepists. Then get a new coach next season: it'll take time before your youth reaches a decent level anyway.

Spokesmen get you more supporters as well btw. And PP: you play as much home matches as away matches ;)

yes, but they're not 'spaced out' evenly. So it;s useless to expand when you have 3 away matches in a row when you finish it.

I think that a new coach would make a lot of sense for your team. You currently have a weak one; training is approximately two weeks faster per level with a passable coach, which can be bought for $79,600 (with poor leadership). Arena enlargement also makes sense for a current steady source of income. If you can afford both, then by all means get both a passable coach and enlarge the arena; an arena sizer and more helpful information can be found at this site: http://www.databased.at/hattrick/index.asphere. You might also find http://www.hottrick.org to be helpful, especially the Platypus guide that goes into a lot of detail on training (which can bring in lots of money over time) and how to start out.

From what you bought and what you have in the team it seems you want to train defenders. You have a weak coach with inadequate leadership. You bought that huh? He’s not good at coaching but can help you when you managing your team spirit.

You could buy a passable coach but that would mean accepting the loss with your previous one. Alternatively you could expand your stadium to 12-14,000 seats if you see that yours is getting full every time.

If you want to buy players buy young defenders you can train.

I believe the problem has been fixed? after getting a full staium yesterday and heading for the championship expoension to 15.000 is a good choice. I have to agree about the coach too, it helps a lot in training, I think it's well spend money if you want to earn something on your youth players (which you have to buy btw).

On spokesman I can only say, they pay themselves. I both three 10 days ago and despite a devistating start my sponsor money went up by 6000 now, and both supporters and sponsors are satisfied.
