Stapel showed up (far too early for me! [aargh] ) next to my
undefended city. I had to switch to a chariot to get the city
defended, losing 9 shields... We agreed to trade after he first
demanded money. I told him the city would be filled with units the
next turn and the war bonus was welcome...
We traded alpha for 3gpt + 5 gold and peace... (phew!)

I have met 3 ai's, they are closeby thank god (although it are the
Romans, Greeks and Cathaginians [eek] (I think the map maker loves me
[love])). But they are good for killing all the barbs. I already lost
about ten units (archers and Jags too) on them, which is a big
setback. The good news is that Stapel has the same problem but he
told me he did not lose many units... My explorations all died, news
ones are being dispatched, I need the contacts ASAP.
Other trivia:
- The Greeks are moving towards the Romans (south) in 1 straight line.
They might be at war but I havent seen any fighting...
- I was forced to settle in the southwest, the settler was going to
the spices but I lost the two warriors to barbs :(
- I have 4 luxes in sight (1 far away), I will try to get them all.
