We are in turn 44, happy with the speed of play! Agri on this map really means fast expansion for the Celts. On Demi they kan keep up in civ score. Strat. now is to expand as fast as possible, secure access to luxes and meet the other Civs. Poly gambit going on, have met the Arabs and Portugese. Hopefully meet 2 more before Poly.

Turn 49: Poly Gambit only partially a success. Could close the gap with AI from 7 to 2, still lacking WC and Math. Met Yanks and Dutch however.

Monarchy as free tech, Dutch offer the most: HBR, CoL, MM, Math., Lit. + 119 for Monarchy. Make my day! Portugal also pays for Mon., Lit. goes to the Arabs. Only 2 techs until MA and the Celts are still in the middle of expansion.

Sad news, Aggie mailed me that he stops playing pbem forever. I read forever as temporary and for that reason the game is put just in the fridge.

UPDATE: Agreed to put the game in the fridge for an unspecified amount of time. We told each other about where we are with Techs, Aggie will go MA next turn and get a free tech.

Just in case it takes more than a couple of days before we continue and I forget the plan here current status and near future.

Tech: Celts have Philo. most likely excl. (not met Aggie but prob. way back UPDATE: this is incorrect). Dutch just discovered Const. Some AI lack Mon.
AI: Arab warriors have been very helpful in killing barbs. No prob with any AI.
Plan: complete expansion on pen., while preparing to invade Arabia.
