Our new CDZ email functionality woudn't be complete without an comprehensive installation guide. So here it is. All pictures are in dutch though, because I own a dutch version. If someone with an english version would be so kind to make the same pics in english I'll load em up. For now the dutch will have to do, I dont think it will be a big problem as the buttons are in the same place anyway.

When you start installation select account from the 'extra' menu(dutch) in the English version I believe this is the 'tools' menu

I like the arrows (are those freeware?? :)), but I don't like the @ in the incoming mail server address.. ;)

ProPain

Those arrows are standard arrows in PSP and that @ is a mistake [eek] Will correct that.

EDIT : corrected @ mistake

Does Photoshop have such nice arrows as well??

One other thing: I bet if I had a CDZ-address, it wouldn't be plux@cqprocesxxxxment.nl, would it??

Mod action: to protect myself from more spam than I receive alrdy I put some xxx's in the email adress. PP

Just a handy thing for people that want to access CDZ mail from multiple locations (like Work ;) ) but want to keep a complete central archive in a central location (like the desktop at home). And have an employer that is anal about what is allowed for e-mail exchange. In this case Lotus Notes. But the boss for some reason also installed Exchange Express, a horrible mail client but with the following handy feature as shown in the pic.

The only difference with the installation described by PP is the "Leave a copy of messages on server" flag. It can be accessed through Account maintenance, Properties, Advanced.

Very handy to check the mailbox and ask Killer to resend the correct sav or hurry Col to finally send his sav before driving home ;)

I also get several mailbox's collected at work and use that flag for all of them. I then pick them up at home and don't check that box - that way I can pick stuff up at work, but I always have a record of the email at home.

Same for me, love that flag.

Complete computer idiot needing help here... [blush]

I'm trying to set up a CDZ email thingy, but I don't know what to fill in for " outgoing mail server"

I have no idea what it is or how I can find out? Anybody got any good hints?

Shabbaman

Outgoing email is the same as with your "other" email: there's no CDZ "outgoing" mail server.

Thanks Shabba :)

I got that figured out by now (already [crazyeye]), and I can send a "test email" to my hotmail. Only when I reply from my hotmail I get a delivery failure notification... :(

It appears I need to log onto the mailserver but it doesn't recognize the combination of my username and PW? Maybe I forgot to do something? [confused]

Is CDZ e-mail still operational? Last time I checked (couple months ago) it wasn't?

There was CDZ email? Man I feel gypped that I missed it. Well kind of, but I bet you there would have been some quality advertisements for cheap viagra and stuff in there.

Is your email correct? Try your spambox.

CDZ mail hasn't been working for me in, well, ages. The new mailserver/forumsoftware seems able to send mail though, I just got my new pw.

Pastorius

Hell, it's been so long, I do hope it's the right mail.

Tried to input the cdz mail into the reset application - couldn't recognize it
Tried to input my main email account into the reset app. Said it sent an email, but I still haven't seen any mail at all, including spambox

edit/update: seems to be an issue with my email provider or some time delay. Still waiting for the "latest" of the pw-reset mails. I got impatient and ordered several, apparently [blush]

NOt really sure if those CDZ email addies still work. I'll reset your password on the new forum and pm it if you cant get em thru CDZ mail. After the move I'll get into the whole email thing again should people like to use them that is.

Dunno. I think I have enough email accounts as it is. I would like to see the good ol paypal option running again, since IIRC the current one on this site is directed towards Dan, and not you and Swingue
