Sky just told me the 2nd player has to announce when a new wonder message appears. I am very sorry I didn't because I was not aware of that rule [blush2]. Therefore Erik most probably missed the messages for Oracle, Collosus, Pyramids and Great Library. Now I know the rule, won't happen again.
Dont worry Beam the 1st player should check all F-keys every turn! :)
Thnx erikk, but I just hate more rules like this popping up. One hand I am a rule minimalist, other hand I feel we need to have the bottom line clear. And not much different from the Tourney days in terms of simplicity!
The worst thing is that a civ might declare war on player one and not notice it in time. Happened to me and I didn't look [blush]

Aggie, and everyone else, just opened a topic on these kind of rules.

And what may this be?

It s James Bond's secret island you dummy !
Damn, i was mistaken, in turn 100 there was an artic island out there....
[blush2]
Never mind Erik, it is a Dromon training facility [evil]. And it helps against barbs like cats help against mice.
Turn 150+
Beam decided to pay me a visit but stumbled upon my scout galley. His
Dromon was sunk by my herioc galley. It is not known what was on
board in the Dromon but we assume it were 2 vet Knights.. The same
galley spotted six dromons further south! The galley did not survive
the horde dromons that sailed in the next turn. Now we have a siege
of the Spanish mainland as the Byzantine cowards dare not to make
their landing...
The siege:

The mountain next to Logrono was a tile eagerly occupied by both the proud Byzantines and the puny Spanish. We agreed to call a referree to verify if there could be a case of obstruction by the Spanish. This turned out to be negative so the Spanish have all the rights to occupy that mountain tile and knowing that celebrated on other mountain tiles as well.
In short:
- One Dromon lost: 30g
- One Knight lost: 70g :(
- A partial map of Erikks empire before Nav: priceless

hehehehehe
sounds like a mastercard commercial
or is it visa...
[cool] You are carrying just one knight per Dromon? That would be
very nice Beam...
...meanwhile the Spanish defenders are showing their @sses to the
Byzantine Dromons from the mountains near Logrono... [mad2]
[lol]
Some Dromons only carry one, most Dromons not however.
Battle of Toledo is going on: 8 Knights landed on a mountain, the pathetic Spanish attacked and lost 7 Knights plus a Swordie vs. 4 Byzantine Martars and a LEADER [party] [dance]
Well, you all read about the war and the killings: we have some
other news!
Turn 176, 610AD
The Byzantines and Spanish prolong their cease fire (thin iced peace
deal) for 20 turns. Also the use of privateers is prohibited. No
rules have been discussed about intimidating fleets near each others
borders...

[lol]
In fact, disputes about trawling issues do often result in a major international crisis!
(Good thing is, that this point hasn't made it into Dubya's book "1001 fary-tales about international accusation" yet)

[hmm]
Fishing requires ice-breaking, no?

Turn 195:
Not often do we see all ai's still intact in turn 195. In this game
they are as they aren't fighting a lot (I counted 2 ai-ai wars until
now). The fact that Beam and me were fighting prolly has something
to do woth it... [evil]

How do you know that Beam has full World Map ? [groucho]
ps : this map has turned out nice no ?
Yup we like it but it is kind of hard for beam: beam has no coal and only one lux while I have
2 luxes but no saltpetre, it is on my island but out of my reach. Beam has been able to trade
coal so no problemo here. As we both have not much luxes we have to trade for it, which makes the
game harder than normal, which is a good thing IMO.
Even more amazing: both of us are hosting AI on our soil, mostly on very poor terrain, however still not very typical. Erik's salpeter is in reach, so don't complain!
I would have liked both of us to have the same number of luxes on our soil, but this is the way it is.
Beam, I see you play SG's again. Any idea when you start playing your PBEMs again? It has
been some weeks now that I recieved a save from you.
Good point Erik, two weeks or so where RL FP planning, negiotating, "afstemmen" etc. consumed most if not all of tactical brain capacity. Sav should be in your mailbox now, good news is the AI finally started to battle each other!
Ah..., well..., my brain capacity functions on minimal level every day, all of my life. http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/uploaded/ERIKK/2004128204211_eek.jpg
Good news on the AI war! I finally have a source of saltpetre now! ;)
