View Full Version : Proposed date for mass update to 1.21 using crack

I propose that everyone here (or at least those who I am playing against) upgrade to 1.21f, using the crack so it will install.

To make this as painless as possible I suggest a date of Saturday 5th April.

Needless to say that if you are going to upgrade you need to get everyone else to upgrade at the same time, or PBEM games are stuffed. It is for this reason I propose this in a weeks time, when we have had time to get agreement and so there is the minimum of fuss.

If a few people refuse to upgrade it will stop all of us upgrading, as we need to go together. Please raise doubts and concerns here, or a note saying you are happy to do this.

I think this should work on all euro versions, but if someone with a non-English version could test it I would be grateful. :)

I don't object to upgrading to 1.21. But I have a couple of SG's (at least 4) on 1.14... Switching from 1.14 to 1.21 and back by uninstalling and reinstalling is fine. But also having to think about the crack makes things worse.

It's not impossible though. If everyone else agrees, I will upgrade as well...

For my part I won't be able to go to v1.21 until the multi-site demogame as a whole does so, since I really don't have the time to mess about reinstalling PtW every evening. However I guess that's not really a problem since I've not actually started any games here yet. http://forums.civfanatics.com/images/smilies/mischief.gif

Since I have no PBEM's running other than with Meli, but he probably updated. So this won't be a problem :)

Urgh. OK, I will get a duel system going with both patched versions, so the upgrade date is not so important.
